NCLGISA is an association of local government IT professionals, assisting its members by improving the effectiveness of local government information systems. NCLGISA has formed a network, utilizing both its listserv and bi-yearly conventions, to allow members to collaborate by sharing experiences and ideas. NCLGISA enlisted Kelly MarCom to build awareness and understanding about the organization to further such growth.
Kelly MarCom led NCLGISA through its proprietary Brand Discovery Process, extracting the particular brand attributes and elements that defined NCLGISA. We then used those results as a foundation for creating a logo and brand identity that would represent the organization’s brand progressively—now and in the future. Kelly MarCom’s design enabled this new identity to be applied easily across a host of marketing mediums—from public presentations and print collateral to the website and interactive applications. To strengthen NCLGISA’s marketing profile, we developed a universal pocket brochure that could house different inserts geared toward the specific groups with whom NCLGISA intended to communicate. By partnering with Kelly MarCom, NCLGISA developed consistency and integrity in brand application across all communication tools.
NCGLISA unveiled the brochure at the October League of Municipalities Managers’ Meeting as their primary communication piece and takeaway. Feedback from the managers and NCLGISA board members was that the brochure was successful in representing the organization’s brand, helped the managers understand the role and goals of NCLGISA and successfully communicated the benefits of NCLGISA to members and potential members at the conference.
“From the very start, Kelly MarCom did an excellent job of discovering who and what NCLGISA was all about, in order to discern the best direction for our brand. Kelly MarCom provided a variety of concept choices throughout the development process, many with multiple options, collaborating with us to combine our favorite elements from each concept to reach an end product that was just the way we wanted it. We are proud to have used and continue using the web site, brochure and other materials developed for us by Kelly MarCom.”
