Solus is the world’s leading manufacturer of conveyor components and custom machined plastics. Though operational for over 25 years, Solus faced struggles with establishing a recognizable identity, memorable messaging and brand architecture for their manufactured product brands. Solus asked Kelly MarCom to help overcome this identity issue in preparation for its exhibit and marketing at the largest tradeshow in the industry.
Kelly MarCom first developed new messaging for the Solus brand based on the key characteristics the company and its clients defined as unique selling points. Based on this, we created the tagline “Accelerating production through innovation” to appeal to end users, distributors, and OEMs alike. The tradeshow booth introduced a modern orange-gray color scheme and employed a European display system to help Solus move away from its more dated look and more closely match its value to the industry as an innovative entity. This vibrant presence supported the key message, had stopping power on the show floor and also dramatically separated Solus from competitors.
Solus secured over 600 new leads at the tradeshow, making it the most successful North American show to date. The company also earned praise from its industry peers on the bold and unexpected transformation. Based on this success, Solus is in the process of extending the updated look across its brands and around the world.
